1) Location: Wether your purchasing land for your store or renting, You will want a high traffic location, The higher the traffic the more chance of good sales. 2) Product & Pricing: When pricing a product somethings to consider are

a) quality

b) time & effort put into creation

c) expenses – texture uploads ect

d) what would you pay? If you wouldn’t pay the amount your asking for chances are no one else will. e) Prims - Each piece of land only allows so many prims, So becareful not to run out, So when making furniture try to make them as low prim as possible.

 

3) Presentation – Majority of people prefer to see the items before purchasing, This can be done by having your items on display or by snapshots. Snapshots cost $10L each to upload

 

4) Advertising – there are numerous ways to advertise a)in-world classifieds – Open up your profile, Click classifieds, I normally pay $50L, The more lindens you pay the higher up towards the top your classified will appear.

 

b)Forums – there are numerous forums associated with secondlife that allow advertising

 

c) Blog or website – You can get a free blog or website and put your products on it, list your site on forums in the resident websites section.

 

5) Customer Service This is a big part of running a successful business, If your polite and professional chances are your customers will come back and bring or tell their friends. If your rude and disrespectful, Chances are customers will tell people not to bother buying from you, You may also find yourself the topic of conversation on forums.
